Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca
Our journey begins in the dynamic city of Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco. After arrival, you will have the afternoon free to relax or start exploring some of the most emblematic sites, such as the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest and most beautiful mosques in the world.
Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat
Depart Casablanca for the nearby capital, Rabat, where we will visit the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the historic Kasbah of the Oudayas, a fortified quarter with breathtaking views of the Atlantic. Rabat offers a perfect combination of modernity and tradition, making it a must-see stop.
Day 3: Rabat – Meknes – Fez
Our journey continues to Meknes, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities. Here we explore the majestic Bab Mansour Gate, El-Hedim Square and the Roman ruins of Volubilis, one of Morocco’s most important archaeological sites. Finally, we arrive in the historic city of Fez, where we will spend the night.
Day 4: Fez – Guided tour
Fez is the spiritual capital of Morocco and its medina, a maze of narrow streets, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During this guided tour, we will visit the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Tanners’ Quarter, and the University of Al Quaraouiyine, the oldest functioning university in the world.
Day 5: Fez – Ifrane – Midelt
Today we leave Fez and head towards the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through the charming town of Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style architecture. We continue on to Midelt, a small town surrounded by mountains that offers a spectacular view of the High Atlas. We spend the night here, enjoying the tranquility of this mountainous environment.
Day 6: Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
We continue our route south, crossing the spectacular Ziz Valley, with its extensive palm groves that announce the proximity of the desert. Finally, we reach Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. From here, we enter the dunes of Erg Chebbi on the back of camels to enjoy an unforgettable night under the stars in a nomad camp.
Day 7: Merzouga – Desert exploration
The seventh day is dedicated to the exploration of the Merzouga region. You will be able to visit Berber villages, meet nomadic families and explore the Dayet Srji Lake, which attracts migratory birds such as flamingos during the rainy season. In the evening, we return to the camp to enjoy a traditional Saharan dinner under the starry sky.
Day 8: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
After enjoying the sunrise in the dunes, we head towards the impressive Todra Gorges, a gorge with rock walls reaching up to 300 meters high. After a short hike in this impressive area, we continue to the Dades Valley, known for its unique landscapes of rock formations and deep gorges. Overnight in a cozy riad in the valley.
Day 9: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou
We leave the Dades Valley and continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco” for its famous film studios. We visit the Kasbah of Taourirt before heading to the historic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ksar has been the setting for iconic movies such as “Gladiator” and “Game of Thrones”.
Day 10: Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Today we cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, one of the highest in North Africa, to reach the vibrant city of Marrakech. Upon arrival, you will have the afternoon free to begin exploring this fascinating city, known for its mix of culture, history and modernity.
Day 11: Marrakech – Guided Tour
Marrakech is one of Morocco’s most iconic cities. During our guided tour, we will tour Jemaa el-Fna Square, the heart of the city, as well as the Majorelle Gardens, the Bahia Palace and the Koutoubia Mosque, Marrakech’s most iconic monument. The afternoon is free to explore the souks at your own pace.
Day 12: Marrakech – Ourika Valley
Today we take a day trip to the beautiful Ourika Valley, located in the High Atlas Mountains. Here, you will enjoy hiking through the valley, visiting waterfalls and seeing small Berber villages. It is a perfect place to relax and connect with nature before returning to Marrakech in the afternoon.
Day 13: Marrakech – Essaouira
Our penultimate day takes us to the coastal town of Essaouira, famous for its walled medina, sandy beaches and relaxed atmosphere. Here, we will stroll through its lively streets, visit its fishing port and enjoy the cool sea breeze. Essaouira is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the tranquility before returning to Casablanca.
Day 14: Essaouira – Casablanca
On our last day, we return to Casablanca, where our 14-day Morocco tour concludes. Upon arrival, you will have time to do some final shopping or visit the places you have not yet explored.
